Life can be overwhelming and full of unexpected changes, which is usually where someone like me comes into the picture. I have a passion for helping people gain the insights and skills they need to overcome life’s many challenges, achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. So naturally, I became a therapist. I am genuinely fascinated by the diversity of humankind and am deeply honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with so many unique and resilient individuals.
I believe everyone is the leading expert of their own life and that building on existing strengths and increasing self-compassion is the best way to generate positive, sustainable growth. I embrace the person-in-environment perspective of social work by acknowledging and exploring the connections between individuals and their physical and social environments. With me, therapy can be your space to explore and get curious, to celebrate and be grateful, to express yourself and be vulnerable, and to feel seen and be heard.
In my practice, I strive to create a safe, judgment free space for all and embrace a down-to-earth, genuine approach integrated with humor and empathy. My goal is to provide knowledgeable and compassionate care to all of my clients, while encouraging them to take reasonable risks and helping them tolerate discomfort throughout the change process. I endeavor to support my clients, especially those who identify with oppressed and marginalized communities, by providing non-stigmatizing and affirming care to all humans.
