Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. 

Many factors contribute to mental health problems, including:

  • Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry

  • Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse

  • Family history of mental health problems

Our therapists are trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques and methods. From screening and diagnosis to treatment, we're here to help you determine a plan to get to your optimal well-being.

Anger Management with Susan Russo (12 weeks)

Wednesdays 6:00pm - 7:00pm starting January 5

We’ll help you learn and reflect on the components of anger so you can better identify triggers and communicate more effectively in your relationships. Anger is a complicated and tough emotion to manage, so we’ll help build your understanding and confidence to navigate it through shared stories and experiences.

Parent Support with Chelsea Thompson (8 weeks)

Mondays 9:00am - 10:00am starting January 24

Couples are welcome

Parenting can be a struggle when you want the best for you and your family. In this group, we will work to enrich the relationship between you and your child. You will get the support you need and to learn how to improve overall behaviors. 

Depression Skills with Lauren Ellis (8 weeks)

Mondays 6:00pm - 7:00pm starting March 21

Depression can feel isolating and debilitating, and we tend to get stuck in our thoughts and emotions. In this eight-week group, we’ll learn what depression is and how it impacts your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and relationships. We’ll share tools to help build mindfulness, challenge negative thoughts, implement boundaries and practice self-care.

LGBTQ+ Support Group with Alyx MacTernan (8 weeks)
Thursdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm starting January 13

The LGBTQ+ group is designed to address the specific needs and issues of the LGBTQ+ population. A few of the topics covered will include marginalization, religious trauma, family/interpersonal relationship issues, and community advocacy. Please join our group facilitator in celebrating diversity, advocating for our population, and creating a safe environment to discuss these issues and more that impact the LGBTQ+ community.

Group Therapy Sessions

We offer multiple groups open to all individuals 18 and older. Our providers cultivate an inclusive atmosphere, which invites an array of strengths, perspectives and knowledge to be shared within the group.

 

These groups are led by our licensed therapists and are usually between three and eight members.

Currently, all sessions meet virtually.

Anxiety Skills with Nicole Skeele (8 weeks)

Tuesdays 2:00pm - 3:00pm starting January 11

Thursdays 3:00pm - 4:00pm starting January 13

Would you like to learn skills to help manage anxiety? With a supportive group, you will share with others and explore how CBT can help you overcome anxiety, leading to a more balanced life.

Grief Support with Shannon Casey (12 weeks)

Mondays 6:00pm - 7:00pm starting February 28

Losing a loved one is one of the most heart wrenching experiences in life. Feeling stuck in grief and unable to move on in your life are common reactions. In this group, we will discuss emotional and physical symptoms of grief and how to experience and manage these reactions, while coping with hurtful responses from others.

Women's Support Group with Niki Berkowitz (8 weeks)
Mondays 5:00pm - 6:00pm starting March 21

We’ll build a supportive place to connect with a diverse group of women through a variety of therapy approaches including mindfulness and expressive arts therapy. We'll practice developing honest communication and healthy coping skills to help you feel more empowered and to strengthen your sense of self.

Teacher Support Group with Jennifer Egelski (8 weeks)
Saturdays 11:00am - 12:00pm starting January 15

Teachers' Support Group is a space to share the joys and challenges of working in education. This group is a way for teachers to connect with one another to feel heard and understood. The pandemic has intensified the already high expectations on teachers. Join us in decompressing and learning together so you may move forward feeling empowered.
