I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Therapist with proven ability to work independently with at-risk and diverse populations. I offer assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children, adolescents and adults. As a compassionate therapist I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from different cultures and backgrounds. I have special interest in working with men, women, boys, girls who often tend to be underserved in the mental health field. In my work, I emphasize the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment in which clients can explore their thoughts and feelings honestly and openly. I am committed to helping clients find relief from their emotional pain and creating lasting change in their lives. I offer unconditional positive regards, genuineness, supportive gestures and empathy while reflectively listening and being present in session with you. I understand that participating in therapy may also involve some discomfort, including remembering and discussing unpleasant events, feelings and experiences. I understand that the therapy process may evoke strong feelings of sadness, anger, fear or anxiety, and there may be times when your perceptions, assumptions and beliefs may be challenged in session. I collaborate with you working through a myriad of issues to reduce stress, anxiety, decreasing negative thought, trauma, anger and self-sabotaging behavior, improved relationships and increased satisfaction in social, work and family settings as well as increased self-confidence with theoretical approach(es) appropriate for individual unique needs and goals. I utilize evidenced based integrated approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
