Tanya Bengali, PMHNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
LIC NO. 95006423
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Foresight. I have been providing nursing care for 15 years. I became a RN in 2006 and a family nurse practitioner in 2012. After working in family medicine, I became very passionate about mental health and the needs of patients in the mental health community. I recognized that they were incredibly underserved and I wanted to change that. I pursued my doctorate in nursing, focusing on depression screening in primary care and received my DNP in 2014. I returned to school to get my certification in psychiatry and mental in 2018, and am now a duel board certified nurse practitioner.
I currently help manage the care of patients with mood disorders and anxiety. My passion is maternal mental health. My professional and personal experience adds a deeper level of understanding and empathy for my patients. I strive to treat my patients as my own friends and family, as they are putting their trust in me to help them navigate through life transitions. My approach is collaborate and supportive and I strive to provide health services that place emphasis on both care and cure. My focus is to help my patients be as healthy and happy as possible.
