Licensed Clinical Social Worker
LIC NO. CSW007022
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker that has clinical experience working with adults, young adults, and college students seeking relief from anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also have experience with eating disorders and providing support around negative body image concerns. My therapeutic style is empathetic, non-judgmental, and warm. I try to provide a safe environment for clients to discuss their struggles and work towards their goals. In sessions I am often direct, goal oriented, and compassionate. I like to incorporate humor, when appropriate, to enhance the therapeutic alliance. I find it an honor to provide support and a listening ear to my clients to understand them as a person and help guide them to their own solutions regarding their challenges. I specialize in working with adults and young adults to support them in their daily life challenges such as family conflicts, relationship challenges, and academic stress. I use an eclectic therapy style with clients to utilize what works best for them individually. Some of the basic orientations I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness and Person-Centered therapy. Therapy will help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and reactions, aiding you in healing and growth. This can help lead towards a life that feels more meaningful, grounded, and joyful. I have been working in the social work field for 12 years. I have experience working in a university health center providing therapy and case management services to students. I also have experience working in a psychiatric hospital providing group therapy for clients in intensive outpatient programs for both adults and adolescents. I have worked with people of different sexual orientations and gender identities, various religious and spiritual beliefs, and a variety of racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
