Paula Wadell, MD

I have always loved the study of biology and early on decided to pursue medicine. I was particularly fascinated by growth and development and initially thought I would become a pediatrician. In medical school I discovered the field of psychiatry. I felt inspired to deepen my understanding of the brain and support children and families with their mental health. I trained in General Psychiatry and then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis. I then spent 8 years working in the child clinics and as an early psychosis specialist. I enjoy partnering with families to work towards meaningful recovery. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental differences, ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma and psychosis.
