I am a bilingual Spanish/English, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has extensive experience working with families, children, and adults of all ages in various settings. I specialize in neurobiological and cognitive behavioral approaches to teach clients skills to manage anxiety and panic in a brief number of sessions. I understand how trauma shapes lives and living at our best requires challenging traumas we have experienced. I provide a safe place and guidance to process and overcome Anxiety, Panic, PTSD, ADHD, and Depression. I have a unique background in physical therapy and integrate neurodevelopment into treatment. I enjoy working with adults and children with Autism, Chronic Pain, and physical disabilities. I have practical experience working with stressed families with parenting difficulties, co-parenting conflict, foster children, and domestic abuse.
My primary training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal Perspective, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Therapy, Play Therapy, and Triple P Positive Parenting for parents with young children, adolescents, children with special needs, and for co-parenting.
I received my Master of Social Work at San Diego State University and am active in the SDSU Social Work Alumni Chapter.
