Currently, I am enrolled in the PsyD doctoral program at California Southern University, scheduled to graduate on 4/2022. I have 19 years as an educator, counselor, and researcher in the field of psychology. As a licensed MFT therapist, my expertise is in the areas of substance abuse, the prison populations, AB109s (felons)/290s (sex offenders), anger management, domestic violence, parenting supervision, and advocating in the school system for students who need IEP and 504 counseling that have behavioral challenges. I have worked closely with psychiatrists regarding members who require medication management and assessments, diagnosing and creating for those individuals, couples, and family's treatment plans, and face-to-face counseling services. My clientele ranges from 6 to 75 years of age, and my therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused therapies, and Supportive therapy. My foundation and belief system is based on being culturally sensitive when working with all members to understand how they see their presenting problem within the context of their culture.
