Marida Williams, LCSW

Hi, I am Marida!! My great passion is brining healing to those individuals who have been traumatized or those who are dealing with stressful experiences. I help my clients who include but are not limited to children, adolescents, adults, elderly, families, LGBT Community and couples, to find healthier selves and strengthen their relationships in all aspects of their lives. I encourage my clients to slow, think critically and explore their cognitive thinking processes. I know that there is no single approach to satisfy every individual need, so I have been trained in the following modalities: Gestalt Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness and Holistic Healing, Person Centered Planning and NARM somatic approach to treatment of trauma. My educational background includes an Associates in Interdisciplinary Health Studies from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo MI, Bachelors In Social Work from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo MI, Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University, Detroit MI.
