When a human experience some type of debilitating stress/anxiety, or depression, sometimes it results their lives unraveling. I find so much pleasure in bringing healing to people who have been through stressful experiences. I assist my clients, who include young adults, adults, the elderly, and couples to gain self-esteem and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as competent, peaceful, and safe. I've found that no specific therapeutic approach is the right one for every individual or couple, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure response prevention. My educational background includes a MA in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. I have a B.A. in Communications from the California State University Channel Islands. My most recent clinical work experience includes Primary Therapist at Residential treatment Center for Dually Diagnosed women with eating disorders and Substance Abuse. Primary Therapist at Intensive Outpatient Facility for Adults with both Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Issues. Associate Therapist at community counseling clinic for underserved populations.
