I have experience working in Community-Based clinics, Outpatient and Inpatient settings, crisis intervention services, incarceration & re-entry, as well as Justice-Involved Mental Health Settings, including Mental Health Court. I have a passion for working with young and older adults to assist in developing and utilizing the necessary coping skills to manage, including meditation and mindfulness practices, that can present opportunities for the client/s to cope and thrive during challenging and overwhelming times. It is my deep passion to engage clients from different backgrounds, and life journeys to explore various healthy and positive life transitions methods, and through self-desired change. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, other mood and psychotic disorders, coping skills, couples, individual, loss-grief, interpersonal conflict, crisis intervention, suicidal & homicidal assessment and intervention, stress management, codependency, and comorbidities. I approach therapy from a recovery-model and Solutions focused perspective, while maintaining an eclectic approach that is tailored to each client’s unique individual story. It is my goal to present opportunities to each one of my clients to take continuous steps onto the road of healing while making self-discoveries and setting personal goals in the treatment process. I utilize other therapeutic approaches that include client-centered therapy which focuses on genuineness, empathy, and helping clients connect their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and therefore creating opportunities for personal growth.
