I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has experience working with Adults of all ages, College Students and Teens seeking relief from Trauma, Grief and Loss, Substance Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Personality Disorders and Relationship Issues. I also have experience working with Dementia and Dementia Related issues such as Caregiver Burnout. My therapeutic style is empathetic, non-judgmental and warm. I strive to provide a safe environment for my clients to discuss their struggles and work towards their goals. In session I am often direct, goal oriented and compassionate. I like to incorporate humor, when appropriate, in a down to earth relaxed style, to enhance the therapeutic alliance. I consider it an honor to provide support and a listening ear to my clients to understand them as a person and help guide them to their own solutions regarding their challenges. I specialize in Christian Therapy, Helping Women Overcome Trauma Caused By a Narcissist, Substance Abuse and Mental Illness, Grief and Loss and Integrated Health. I use an eclectic style in therapy to utilize what works best for clients. Some of the basic orientations I use are Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Therapy will help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and reactions, aiding you in healing and growth. This can help lead towards a life that feels more meaningful, grounded, and joyful. I have been working in the social work field for nearly 2 decades. I have experience working for Community Mental Health, a psychiatric hospital, substance abuse inpatient unit, step down and diversion homes, jails, prisons and courtrooms, private practices, hospice, a nursing home, in home health care, and providing case management in AFC homes. I also have experience facilitating court ordered Substance Abuse groups and IOP groups. I have worked with people from different sexual orientations, various religious beliefs, spiritual beliefs, and a variety of races, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
