Aurelio Sanchez, LCSW

My name is Aurelio Sanchez, I was born and raised in Central California, I am a retired Navy Senior Chief having proudly served 26 years of honorable service and having deployed, on nine occasions, all over the world. Service to County easily transferred to Service to Others. That is why I thoroughly enjoy working as a Licensed Clinical Therapist. I have been a Clinical Therapist since 2017, working for Riverside County Behavioral Health as the Veteran Service Liaison, Clinical Therapist. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from University of Phoenix and a Masters in Social Work from Azusa Pacific University. My specialties include: transitional age youth and adults experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, loss of a loved one, relationships and stress. I use an eclectic approach to make sure that treatment is catered to serve my client's specific needs. I incorporate evidenced based approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Strength Based Therapy. I also strongly believe in the benefits of cultural humility and providing a safe environment for my clients to guide their discovery because they are the experts of their life.
