Veronica Vasconcelos has acquired over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, school based, a homeless shelter and drop-in center, and SRO's (Single Room Occupancy) in the Tenderloin and Mission District in San Francisco. Veronica has treated children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience facilitating a variety of groups including traditional group therapy, psychoeducation and skill building groups. Veronica has also worked with couples and families.
Veronica’s primary specialization is treating co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and trauma. Other specializations include: codependency, self esteem, relationship issues, anger management, and personal growth. She supports clients with identifying, expressing and coping with their feelings. She facilitates learning of tools to help challenge and reframe self defeating and ruminating thoughts. Veronica also helps to empower others to develop healthy boundaries and assertive communication skills. I assist clients with learning how to cultivate satisfying and healthier relationship
