Susan Russo, is a licensed marriage and family therapist who graduated from California Lutheran University. She has over 5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, elder adults, and families. She has grown up in this community and is familiar with treating and working with individuals with developmental disabilities and with severe mental illness. She has worked in many different settings that include: school based, community residential housing, and non profit mental health settings. She also has training both working with and treating individuals that have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. Susan has worked inside of the school systems helping individuals obtain skills to be successful in the classroom. Susan provides an empathetic and culturally competent, non-judgmental space in which clients can share about their lives and experiences, explore their feelings and thoughts, and create meaningful change in their lives. Susan uses a client centered approach to provide evidence based therapeutic services. Her specialties include relationship challenges, crisis stabilization, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
