Sam is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and has been practicing therapy since 2011. He has experienced working with teens, and adults who come to therapy for substance abuse, anxiety, depression, traumatic life events, and other issues that make it difficult to reach their goals. Sam is trained in several evidence-based approaches including motivational Interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
Sam's approach is warm and down-to-earth, and uses perspectives and tools from many styles of therapy so that he can tailor a unique approach together with you. He believes that therapy is an important opportunity in which to feel seen, heard, and validated, practice new skills for living, and deepen our insight into patterns of unhelpful thinking or doing. In his work, Sam strives to be clear, honest, and genuine as you learn about your reality in a manner that feels comfortable for you.
