SD College East (Previously El Cajon)
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I currently hold two Masters’ Degrees in both Counseling and Sociology from San Diego State University. My experience includes working in Community-Based Outpatient and School-Based settings. I am particularly drawn to working with older teens, and individual adults. Some of my specialties include anxiety, intergenerational trauma, perinatal work, social issues, sexual abuse, identity exploration, and relationships. In my work I utilize a trauma-informed, multicultural, and client-centered lens which allows me to focus on healing emotional wounds, deconstructing harmful discourses, setting personal boundaries, and offering a safe and secure place to reflect and grow. I strive to offer empathy, understanding, and genuine compassion for all members I collaborate with. My work is rooted in narrative and attachment-based theories, however, I have experience with cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and motivational interviewing interventions as well.
