Dr. Paul Mangal is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in brain health and wellness. He specializes in neuropsychological assessment of adults with a variety of psychological, neurodevelopmental, and neurological diseases and disorders. Dr. Mangal has worked with populations including veterans, LGBT individuals, college-age students and young adults, older adults, individuals with diverse and multicultural backgrounds, individuals with complex medical conditions, and many more.
He completed his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology at the University of Florida, and his clinical internship in adult and geriatric neuropsychology at Emory University School of Medicine. He moved to the Bay Area to complete additional training in neuropsychology at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System and the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Mangal has experience in assessing and treating individuals with conditions such as ADHD, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, vascular disease and stroke, dementia and memory disorders, movement disorders, epilepsy, substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, as well as a variety of other conditions.
Dr. Mangal provides neuropsychological assessments to better understand how cognitive, behavioral, and psychological factors affect an individual’s day-to-day functioning. In collaboration with clients, he strives to make practical recommendations for optimizing brain health and mental wellbeing.
