Lainie Posecion, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who graduated from Palo Alto University with specialized training in Neuropsychology. She completed her two-year post-doctoral fellowship at San Francisco Veterans Hospital in Traumatic Brain Injury/Polytrauma Rehabilitation and Neuropsychology. She has provided neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for adults with variety of cognitive and psychiatric complaints, including history of concussion, stroke, and neurodegenerative disorders. She has also helped people dealing with symptoms of ADHD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. These assessments can assist with differential diagnosis, treatment planning, and recommendations alongside medical providers. In addition, she has also provided psychotherapy services. She has worked with young and old adults in dealing with stress and developing healthy coping strategies, particularly with problems with cognition, chronic illness, and adapting to life changes. Her expertise is in evidence-based interventions which are also culturally informed, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing.
