Kim Chilvers (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Her specialties include people in the midst of life transitions, including young adults and adolescents, as well as adults and children struggling with the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety. Kim has proved treatment in private practice and many community mental health settings, including residential treatment. In addition, She has supervised and trained other therapists for the past several years. Kim uses evidence based interventions including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), and mindfulness to help clients develop coping skills and a better understanding of relationships and work towards achieving life goals. In a safe, non-judgmental space, she takes a humble and curious approach to the diverse cultural and gender experiences of her clients, so they can explore their unique feelings, experiences, and obstacles.
