Karen Cuneo, LMFT
"Are you struggling just to make it through the day? Stuck in the past or paralyzed with fear when you think about the future? Tired of watching your life pass by without you in it? If you answered yes, you are not alone. Allow me to hold the hope of a brighter tomorrow while we find solutions for today."
For over the past decade, Karen Cuneo has been supporting people to navigate life challenges, work through difficult issues, and create meaning as they reclaim their lives. She is a client-centered therapist and her approach to therapy is both integrative and individualized to meet your specific needs. Karen will help you improve the quality of your life by creating achievable goals that build upon your strengths. You will learn how to identify and overcome barriers by developing effective coping skills that foster resilience and focus on results that work.
Karen has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, trauma, dual diagnosis, relationship issues, and chronic mental health conditions. She completed her undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts at the University of San Diego and earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has advanced training in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
“I believe every individual has the potential for greatness and that sometimes, even breakdowns can become breakthroughs. I work hard to provide a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive environment that builds trust, restores hope, and promotes positive change.”
