J Scott Rhule (Scott) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at Foresight Davis CA. He received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology San Diego (now part of Alliant International University). He received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies San Francisco, California. He has experience working in private outpatient mental health clinics and hospitals. He has a passion for working with adults to help them to develop insight into their problems and to generate creative solutions and effective coping skills. He has many years of experience working with wide variety of specialties such as Mood Disorders including depression, anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorder, marriage and couples counseling, family conflicts, anger and stress management, veterans and current military service members and their families, LGBTQ clients, Dual (Mental Health and Alcohol and Substance Use Problems), Process Addictions such as Pornography, Sex, Internet, Video Gaming, Gambling, Spending etc.), and chronic mental health problems. He approaches therapy from a person-centered approach focusing on empathy, authenticity, genuineness, and positive regard. Scott utilizes an eclectic and strength-based approach, which strives to be sensitive to what the client feels works the best for them in sessions. Scott enjoys seeing clients improve the quality of their lives.
