Fedra Tehrani, LMFT
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have had practice and training since 2012 in a variety of clinical settings, including in-patient care facilities, community mental health centers, and substance abuse treatment programs. While I have worked with a wide range of client concerns, my special area of interest is working with those struggling with PTSD and substance abuse history. I have worked with individuals and their families with past intergenerational trauma, abuse, neglect, and domestic violence.
I am focused to help my client’s regain confidence and overcome personal obstacles to find themselves and become who they envision themselves to be. I am passionate in working with families of diverse ethnic/cultural backgrounds with acculturation issues and helping them advocate for themselves for equal opportunities and meet their own needs. My practice includes application of Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Client Centered approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I am also specialized in techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Seeking Safety, Mindful Meditation, Guided Imagery.
