Ethel Mostrel has two master’s degrees, one in Marriage and Family Therapy from The California Graduate Institute in L.A., and one in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research in NYC. Ethel has been licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy in the state of California for over 20 years. Ethel did her initial training at The Foundation for Rechanneling of Emotions and Education (FREE) where she worked with adult survivors of abuse. Later, at Rutgers University, Ethel worked with the Chemically Dependent population. Ethel has worked at The Raritan Bay Medical Center at the psychiatric unit. Ethel is the founder and CEO of The Relationship Clinic as well as the author of: Relationships: Cracking the Code. She has been the recipient of the hard-to-earn CAPES scholarship. Ethel is multilingual (Portuguese, Spanish and French) and multicultural. She now comes to join Foresight Mental Health, bringing expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Family Systems. Ethel has experience working with adults, teens, couples and families. Ethel is a clinical member of The California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). She has two grown children and lives in Portola Valley.
