I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over five years of clinical experience. I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver with an emphasis in Multicultural Counseling. I am especially passionate about helping people from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to the LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities. Before joining Foresight I provided community-based counseling and case management services to women struggling with mental health and substance abuse. I have additionally provided individual and group therapy at university counseling centers and integrated health clinics. I have completed specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in order to further support the healing process for persons who have experienced trauma. I utilize this trauma-informed lens and integrate mindfulness, solution-focused, and experiential approaches in session. I bring compassion, warmth, and authenticity in addition to my clinical skills and training into the therapeutic relationship. I strongly believe in the importance of collaborating within the therapeutic process, in order to empower one’s ability to heal, grow, and flourish.
