Cheryl Chin, LPCC
Cheryl Chin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She works with individuals, couples, families, including children and teens using empirically-driven approaches that are also culturally sensitive and tailored to personal needs. She attended numerous research groups at Connecticut College, such as Women’s Health Psychology, Behavioral Medicine, Gestational Diabetes, Psycho-Oncology, Cystic Fibrosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, and interned from there forward at UPENN’s Weight and Eating Disorders Clinic, learning to administer gastric surgery evaluations, UNC Chapel Hill’s Thurston Arthritis Center, UPENN’s Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Child Life and the Pediatric Psychology Unit, at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital’s Child Development Center. She attained masters’ degrees from MCP Hahnemann University (Drexel) in Clinical Psychology and from Santa Clara University in Counseling Psychology, MFT Track Health Emphasis. Beyond, she has performed pro bono work with the Women’s Cancer Resource Center and George Mark Children’s House (hospice-like), started own private practice, worked in chronic pain management, managed care, community clinics, case management, in schools/universities/homes, and started a family here in the east bay.
