Chelsea Thompson, LMFT
Chelsea is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated from Lincoln Christian University having experience working in private practice, non-profit, and community based mental health settings. She has over 5 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, and personal identity backgrounds. Based on client need, she utilizes evidenced based practices such as CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy as well as other affective therapeutic approaches from her varied training.
Chelsea creates a warm and welcoming environment in every session by expressing humor, empathy, and acceptance. She believes in empowering clients to create their desired story and have input in the therapeutic process. Chelsea is passionate about creating a safe space where individuals and families can thrive while becoming who they desire to be. During sessions, she creates a collaborative environment rich in learning and compassion encouraging clients to savor their journey of growth. You will often hear her provide helpful reminders and short sayings to assist you in remembering to have self-compassion and use self-reflection throughout the week. In each session, Chelsea shows that she believes that anything is possible when life is approached with collaboration, authenticity, and a willingness to learn.
