Dr. Cardinal received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. She obtained two master’s degrees in Performance Psychology and Counseling Psychology from National University. She also received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, families, and couples.
Dr. Cardinal uses a holistic approach to implement individualized, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strength-based treatment. Some modalities utilized include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, other evidence-based practices.
Dr. Cardinal is passionate about the therapeutic process and provides a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel free to explore thoughts, ideas, concerns, and feelings as they move forward in their life journeys.
