My goal is to make sure my clients are able to build resilience, foster self-compassion, and work towards a life that align with their values. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when working with clients to address cultural nuances and bridge the gaps between their heritage and personal goals. I also adopt an integrative approach from a range of evidence-based models and therapeutic modalities.
I have knowledge and experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, Asian-Americans, individuals, and families of various backgrounds experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety, stress, life changes, and self-esteem issues. I also had the privilege to work with adolescents and adults diagnosed with eating disorders in a partial hospitalization and a residential setting.
As a first-generation Asian-American therapist, I have the understanding and knowledge to help clients navigate their cultural identity and process their intergenerational experiences and family dynamics. By collaborating with the client, we can begin the healing their mental health and their well-being together.
