I find that working in the field of mental health continues to be a passion of mine due to the fact that the resources continuously expand and there’s always a chance to grow within yourself and within your career. I love learning, I never expect to be perfect and the ability to continue to gather information to better myself in what I love doing is something you can’t get in just any field of work. I want others to see that we are unique in every way, no matter the circumstance, you are cared about. We are all works in progress and I am here to assist you towards your goals!
I tend to lean into what the client needs through discussing what motivates them, what they are looking for in a therapist, and their history of therapy. I pull from my vast library of trainings and personal experiences to best fit the client’s needs. I am honest and warm in my approaches, encouraging others to follow their own goals (even if that means asking difficult questions). I enjoy working with adolescents as that is my background. I am always happy to see clients be able to speak their mind freely knowing that they are not being judged. I have extensive experience working with foster youth, which is a passion of mine. While working with foster youth, it was an honor to see their personal growth and ability to learn advocacy skills they did not have at the start of our time together. I really love seeing the growth in my clients and seeing them flourish in their own strengths!
