I became a therapist to help people better understand what it is that they are going through and why they feel certain problems exist in their life. My own mental health journey was aided by the help of some amazing mental health professionals, and since that time I have been working towards helping others understand themselves in the way that I was helped.
Human connection is my priority. I strive to see people as they want to be seen, keeping in mind that everyone’s story is unique, and that is that uniqueness that makes us what we are. My goal as a therapist is not to change you, but rather listen to your story and work with you in order to understand the changes you want to make in your life and assist you in making those changes in a way that works for you.
I utilize a humanistic approach that does not place emphasis on diagnosis or symptoms. Instead, from a holistic approach, I treat the entire person (mind, body, and emotions) for healing, with a focus on those experiencing emotional pain, chronic pain or illness, trauma, and adults with neurodiversity (ADHD & autism). We will work jointly to establish goals for what you want to work on and utilize a variety of narrative, experiential, and solution-oriented therapies in our sessions. Together, we will work to find meaning and understanding to your life story and work towards finding the peace that comes through emotional healing.
