I have had the privilege of walking alongside my clients as they make meaningful changes in their lives. I have worked with clients to develop a better understanding of who they are now and who they could be in the future. That journey is something I hope to embark upon with as many people as I can to help them improve their lives one step at a time.
I use solution-focused approaches in my work to help clients with meaningful change. I believe that my job is to provide tools to my clients that they can tailor to their specific needs. We talk about change in session but outside of session is where the real work happens and becomes long-lasting. I enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community. It’s a community that unfortunately has not always been welcome even in therapy spaces. I am always happy when I can provide an affirming and accepting space for the community. I also enjoy working with African American clients. As a black person myself, I am happy to be a familiar face to better relate to. I have found that nothing beats a listening ear.
I worked on some publications as an undergraduate psychology student. My work centered around inherent bias toward the BIPOC community in the hiring process.
