I’m Nia Anderson, a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to helping individuals achieve emotional and mental wellness. My passion lies in providing empathetic, patient-centered care that addresses the unique challenges people face in their mental health journeys.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tuskegee University in Alabama and gained hands-on experience in high-acuity settings, including surgical trauma/neuro ICU, cardiac ICU, and interventional radiology. These roles helped me understand the deep connection between physical and mental health. My experiences, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighted the importance of comprehensive care that treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. This inspired me to pursue a PMHNP degree from Walden University to focus fully on mental health care.
In my practice, I emphasize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. I take a collaborative approach, tailoring treatment plans to your unique needs, preferences, and goals. Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, stress, or other mental health challenges, I work with you to foster resilience and empower you to take control of your well-being.
I believe in a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the importance of addressing all aspects of life that contribute to wellness. My goal is to help you develop self-awareness, build coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Seeking help is a brave first step, and I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you in achieving your mental health goals.
