My decision to enter the mental health field was influenced by the profound impact of mental health services on individuals. I am committed to providing a neutral and supportive space for people to share and process their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. I firmly believe in the power of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to alleviate suffering, build tolerance, and develop confidence. I enjoy working with members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, ethical non-monogamous relationships, and neurodiverse individuals, couples, and families.
I worked on “An Action Research Inquiry into Three Community Gardens: Toward a Greater Understanding of Ecological Resilience”, published as open access in the ProQuest Database in 2020. It is a study of the relationship between social and ecological resilience.
I have experience working with adults who struggle to meet developmental achievements as well as girls in foster institutional housing. I have also worked with men and women in mental health inpatient facilities and outpatient treatment centers. I have experience working with individuals from various ages, races, ethnicities, cultures, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and spiritual or religious beliefs. I use a client-centered approach, meaning clients are the expert of their experience and define their goals working in collaboration with me. I aim to provide a supportive environment for you to grow and heal.
