My name is Mariana, my clients sometimes call me Ari. I am a first generation Mexican-American with an intuitive calling to work with women of color who are going through life transitions. I understand the emotional challenges and the self-worth questioning that transitions can bring as well as the value of having the right support to help bring about hope and strength during these times. I know that change can be both scary and so empowering and would love to help new mothers, first generation college students, women pivoting into tech careers, individuals who are new to the country, those who have recently experienced relationship separations and job loss. I was born and raised in Southern California, I received my undergraduate degree from UCLA and Masters from LMU. I’ve been a therapist since 2016, and gained my experience at a nonprofit and Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program. My specialities include: teens, transitional age youth, and adults experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, trauma, self- esteem, relationships and stress. I use an eclectic approach to make sure that treatment is catered to serve my client’s specific needs. I incorporate evidence based approaches of CBT, Mindfulness, and Strength Based Therapy. I also strongly believe in the benefits of cultural humility and providing a safe space for my clients to lead their discovery because they are the experts of their life.
