I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Foresight. I received a Master of Social Work degree from San Jose State University, with an emphasis in Health/Mental Health. I have more than 29 years of experience in a variety of roles such as group home counselor, 1-1 behavioral coach, community resource developer, grant writer, consultant/quality reviewer, and therapist. I have served in a variety of settings, including residential treatment, crisis, home-based, community-based, outpatient, and school-linked services.
My approach to helping is guided by the extensive experience and training I received in the wraparound model – a values-based planning process and philosophy of care that has evolved over several years as an alternative to residential treatment for children, youth, and their families. I believe that the wraparound principles can be universally applied to many settings and populations.
I have worked with a variety of clients of all ages, experiencing a variety of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, anger, and grief. Most recently, I have especially enjoyed working with young adults navigating the challenges and opportunities of independence, often striving to develop new and healthy relationships with parents.
I believe in the power of creativity, curiosity, and humor. I am grateful for the teamwork and dedication of my colleagues, and what I have learned from the clients I have been honored to work with.
