I am a licensed and board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have been practicing exclusively in mental health since 2021. I have been a family nurse practitioner since 2011, and I worked as a primary care provider from 2011-2020. I am passionate about mental health, and I enjoy therapeutically helping patients with medication management. My approach centers around meeting people where they are and shared decision making. To me, this means I work together with patients as a team, and I provide up-to-date and evidence-based information to help guide the decision-making process. I have a non-judgmental, supportive, empathetic, and warm style. I utilize aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing in my therapeutic approach. I have experience and enjoy working with people with various abilities, those who are neurodiverse, folks with different experiences of trauma, and differing sexual orientations and gender identities. I celebrate diversity and have experience working with people from various racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and people with different religious and spiritual beliefs. With the patient as my guide, I strive to address and acknowledge the intersectionality we inhabit as individuals and how that affects our mental health.
