What makes me unique as a professional is the approach I take with those I am privileged to work with. I like to use the analogy of building a puzzle when initially describing my therapeutic approach and the process that is going to take place. Clients must build their own unique puzzle that is their life and my job as their therapist is to help clients build that puzzle.
Whether it be flipping a puzzle piece in a different direction to see it in another perspective or to help shift the focus to another part of the puzzle that may require more attention, the objective is to work together as a team to reach a client’s goal. If therapy is to be successful and effective, the relationship between the therapist and the client is one of the most important factors in achieving that success. I am proud to work hard at building and maintaining an impactful, meaningful therapeutic relationship.
