Hello! I am excited to work with you as providing therapy is something I’m very passionate about. I have experience working with many different types of clients but have discovered I’m most helpful to folks who are struggling with a life transition, long term anxiety/depression, and/or relationship concerns. My background is in community mental health. This means that I’ve worked for county agencies for the last 10 years, providing services to students, foster/probation youth, folks with a first-time mental illness, the severely mentally ill, dual diagnosis (e.g., substance use and mental health), and older adults. I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, Seeking Safety (for PTSD and substance use), motivational interviewing, trauma resiliency, and EMDR. I am eclectic in my therapeutic approach but tend to start therapy with three theories (cognitive behavioral, narrative, and interpersonal) and expand to other approaches based on client need.
