My personal and professional commitment stems from a deep empathy for those facing mental health challenges. I strive to make a significant difference in each individual’s life through compassionate, patient-centered care. By fostering genuine connections and creating a unique evidence-based treatment plan, I aim to empower individuals in their recovery journeys and enhance their overall well-being. I integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care into personalized treatment plans. These approaches address diverse needs and empower individuals to navigate challenges effectively. With extensive crisis intervention experience, I adeptly manage a wide range of mental health challenges, ensuring comprehensive care and positive outcomes.

I find fulfillment in serving Veterans, women, individuals with substance use disorders, and those with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and developmental disabilities. Every community offers distinct challenges and opportunities for growth, aligning with my dedication to providing specialized, compassionate care that meets diverse needs in the mental health field.

In 2020, I completed a poster presentation at VA Medical Center San Diego entitled “Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale Nursing Assessment to Improve Opioid Withdrawal Management” on implementing the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale hospital-wide to improve patient outcomes. In 2022, for Western Governors University, I made a proposal on optimizing mental health discharges for nurses, providers, and patients entitled “Mental Health Discharge Checklist Summary Optimization Proposal.” In 2021, at the VA Medical Center San Diego, I presented on using measurement-based care entitled “Using Measurement-Based Care and the Brief Addiction Monitor (BAM) to Improve Alcohol Drug Treatment Planning and Care.”
