I enjoy being on the pathway observing the client’s growth and watching their growth progress over time. Seeing the client’s progress can help me understand my role in helping them. It’s great to know that I’m providing assistance to a client. I am client-centered and invite clients to bring any and all events, occurrences and matters that life throws their way into our sessions. My main goal in these sessions is to promote a safe space where the client will feel comfortable sharing their most raw and true feelings with me. I also provide time for a check-in at the beginning of every session for the client to bring up anything they are feeling, or any event they wish to discuss. My highest priority is the comfort of my clients. I want to provide a safe and judgment-free space where they can share what’s bothering them. It’s my job to listen carefully, understand where they’re coming from, and offer support to help them move forward.
