My name is Trivan M. Lovings and I am originally from South Central Los Angeles. As a youth I coped with my surroundings by focusing on self-improvement. Later this focus evolved into a desire to help others do the same. My goal has always been to make those around me feel supported, heard, and understood. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and a life-long disability. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I currently reside in Southern California with my husband and our two troublemaking, fun-loving, dogs. My specialties include management of emotional distress, difficulty transitioning to adulthood, living with chronic medical conditions, anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life changes. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a clinical social worker in hospitals throughout California providing support, guidance, and resources to individuals managing medical and/or mental health conditions. I work with seniors, adults, adolescents, and children. As a therapist I am part of your support team and I will work together with you to clarify needs, set goals, and implement a plan to move forward.
