I received my Bachelors in Social Work from Franciscan University in Ohio in 2014, and shortly after completed my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Integrated Health from Cal State Long Beach in 2016. Through my education, associate, and clinical experience I have served a variety of populations including cancer patients and survivors, survivors of abuse and trauma, mild to severe mental health conditions, older adults, young adults, and adolescents. With my social work background, my clinical lens comes through a systems and person in environment perspective. I take a trauma informed approach and I am passionate about seeing my clients move from a place of isolation and fear to a place of healing, growth, and self compassion. In my practice with clients I most commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) , and Motivational Interviewing.
