Natasha Troutman, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LIC NO. 114604

I graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in clinical psychology. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and I have been working in the mental health field for 10 years with individuals, families, and couples. I work with clients collaboratively, offering compassionate and non-judgmental care while maintaining a sense of humor in order to reduce the anxiety around seeking therapy. I utilizes solution-focused and evidence-based techniques to provide brief, structured treatments that have demonstrated proven results. Because I do not believe that anyone needs to live in suffering, the services she offers aim to help reduce distress and increase well-being.
I have experience working with suicidal ideation, borderline personality disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), OCD, domestic violence, grief, anxiety, multicultural issues, and depression. I have been trained in evidence-based practices for OCD, including Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP). In addition, I am experienced in working with children and teenagers suffering from various symptoms of distress, from trauma to oppositional behavior. I most utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist clients.
“There is no such thing as a weird human being. It’s just that some people require more understanding than others.” ― Tom Robbins
