Mary Taboada, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LIC NO. 129214

I began my professional journey in 2007 with a Bachelors of Sciences in Human Services. Helping others in social service settings inspired me to pursue a Masters of Science in Counseling Marriage, and Child Therapy. I worked in many diverse populations and therapy settings; gaining this experience furthered my interest in residential treatment programming where I helped adults who struggled with addictions, and overcoming obstacles in maintaining their sobriety. During this time I have discovered the causal correlation between substance addiction, and childhood trauma, violence and mental health disorders. I specialize in disorders and dual diagnoses including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, Bi-Polar, Personality disorders. My other passion is working with survivors of domestic violence in which I hold a certificate. My main focus in therapy is to work with clients by helping them to make positive changes in their lives. I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgemental to help create an enviorment where clients feels supported, validated and safe.
