My educational background includes a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Development, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a certificate in School Psychology. My professional experience includes providing therapy and other services to children, adolescents, adults and families in outpatient mental health agencies, public and private schools and healthcare organizations. While I have a broad range of clinical experience, I prefer working with teens, families and adults with relationship issues, educational struggles and life transitions. I have a passion for helping parents through empathetic listening, skill building and providing psycho-education in order to help them view their child or a particular situation in a more constructive way. I believe that we are all doing the best we can with the resources and knowledge we have at the time. However, I am always striving towards a better version of myself and since you are here, I believe you are too. We can’t do better until we know better, and I would be honored to join you in your process to grow towards that better version you’re striving for. I want to work collaboratively to develop goals and work on change in a way that feels manageable and encouraging. I utilize an eclectic and collaborative approach that is strengths-based, problem-solving and solution focused. I enjoy using humor and metaphors in my work. I tend to be gentle and validating — but I don’t avoid addressing issues that need confrontation and accountability. It is important to me that my authentic self is a part of the relationship.
