I have nearly 10 years of experience as a social worker in Ventura County providing services to the diverse populations that make up our community. I have worked in an extended foster care program, a trauma hospital, a violence intervention program, and a field response team for youth experiencing mental health crisis. I attempt to create a safe space to communicate and feel that my genuine empathy, transparency and nonjudgmental disposition contribute to a safe open path to work together to reach goals. I have experience working with foster youth emerging as adults and understand the additional stressors and anxieties that come from the foster youth experience. I also have experience supporting pregnant and postpartum women of all ages through the anxieties of pregnancy and postpartum depression. I pull from a variety of treatment modalities to support each persons unique needs, including narrative, existential, and solution focused therapies. I enjoy getting to know each person and their unique situation to offer guidance toward personal growth, rather that is relief from depression, improved self confidence or weathering transitions in life.
