I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Behavioral Consultant working in the field of mental health and developmental disabilities for the past 20 years. My approach to well-being and psychological health is drawn and influenced by my extensive experience applying best practice and science in community mental health. My approach is strength-based, empirical-based, and focuses on the individual needs of the person. My experience includes being the Clinical Manager for Behavioral Services and Supports at Edgewood Center for Children and Families and the Clinical Director at California Autism Foundation. I hold a BA in Education from the University of Akron and a M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Kent State University. I have worked for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities as a Program Director and as a Regional Director for The Mentor Network. I hold national certifications as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and a National Certified Counselor. I am currently licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and California. I have valuable work experience in the areas of dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, applied behavior analysis, trauma informed care, functional behavior assessment, trauma informed care, crisis intervention, and mediation skills. My true passions and interests are dual diagnosis, counseling, and positive behavioral approaches.
