18 year history working in Corrections and law enforcement as a Therapist & Social Worker.Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. I have experience working in both Community-Based and School-Based Mental Health settings. I have a passion for working with young adults as well as older adults in order to help them learn the necessary coping skills they need to help them feel they are in control of their own lives. My specialty areas include working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress management, family issues. I approach therapy from a client-centered perspective: focusing on empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I aim to highlight strengths and create opportunities for growth. I have experience working with teens, adults, and couples in one-on-one sessions as well as group therapy that focuses on healthy social skills and parenting education for school aged and teens.
