I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides medication management for adults. I received my BSN and MSN at California State University Long Beach (CSULB) and worked as a neuroscience bedside nurse as well as with adolescents and young adults in a psychiatric residential treatment center while working toward my Masters degree. Since becoming an NP I have worked in a private practice setting working with adults of all age ranges. I am also a clinical instructor to nursing students during their psychiatric rotation. My goal in treatment is to find a balance with lifestyle and medications- highly valuing the opinion and preferences of the patient. I achieve this by working with the patient on what they value while incorporating mindfulness, elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, non-medication strategies, and medication and disease process education.
